Chloe’s Bench

2024│Poplar seat with cherry frame │48x24x24"

I made this piece for my good friend and ex-roommate Chloe, who loves to sit cross-legged at the table. It is inspired by the furniture of Finn Juhl and was designed to mimic the proportions of a bench that Chloe and I shared when we lived together. The bench is constructed with wedged tennons and bridle joints. I made the bench at Pocosin School of Art and Crafts under the guidance of Sophie Glenn.
